Omar Chen Guey


Brazilian violinist/violist Omar Chen Guey has been a soloist with the Brazilian, Campinas, Goiania, Minas Gerais, Claudio Santoro National Theater, Sao Paulo University, Sao Paulo Municipal, State of Sao Paulo Symphony Orchestras, the Amazonas Philharmonic, Petrobras Pro-Musica, Experimental Repertoire, Manhattan School of Music, Stony Brook University Symphony, Maidstone Symphony, Qatar Philharmonic and the Seychelles International Music Festival Orchestras. He performed for the King of Norway, Harald V. He is a prizewinner at both Tibor Varga and Lipizer International Violin Competitions. He has performed chamber music with Lynn Harrell, Ani Kavafian, David Finckel, Lawrence Dutton, and Colin Carr. He received a DMA from Stony Brook University and a Master from Juilliard. His main teachers were Robert Mann, Sylvia Rosenberg, Philip Setzer, Ani Kavafian and Pamela Frank. He is a member of A Far Cry Orchestra and was assistant concertmaster of the Orquesta de la Comunidad Valenciana, in Spain, directed by Lorin Maazel. His premiere of the concerto for violin and orchestra by Jean-Charles Gandrille with the Qatar Philharmonic, conducted by Thomas Kalb, has been released on the French label Paraty.



Steve Loew


Steve Loew, clarinet, is a former member of the U.S. Marine Band (the President’s Own) and member of the White House Orchestra who performed for President’s Ford, Carter, Reagan, and Bush Senior. A graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, Mr. Loew has also played with the New York Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra, and has collaborated with such artists as Marvin Hamlisch, Doc Severinsen, Roberta Flack, Meatloaf, Barbara Cook, and Johnny Mathis. Mr. Loew was born in Brooklyn, NY and currently lives in Asheville, NC.



Daniel Weiser


Daniel Weiser, piano, founder and Artistic Director of AmiciMusic, has performed chamber music in great concert halls around the world, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. Dr. Weiser has a Doctorate in Piano from the Peabody Conservatory and was the 1996 American Ambassador of Music for which he toured the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He also spent a year at Harvard Law School at the same time as President Obama. He has recorded numerous CDs and has taught at Dartmouth College, St. Paul’s Prep School, and Johns Hopkins. Weiser is a native of Buffalo, who now lives in Baltimore with his wife, Kisha, and their twin 12-year old daughters, Emma and Sophie.
