ElectroChemical – unhinged psychedelic electro-funk spawned from the inner depths of Will Davis (bass/production) and Collin Fradenburg (drums). Residing in Asheville, North Carolina, they are described as a unique mixture of Tipper meets Primus meets STS9. Between their use of skilled instrumentation and modern technology, they merge disparate styles into something futuristic and boundary pushing. Soup Williamson (Life is Art Studios) offers an unparalleled LIVE visual graphics performance at select events as the third member of this fast rising group. Insanely high energy shows, future funky soundscapes and intense musicianship are all things guaranteed at any ElectroChemical experience.
ElectroChemical is quickly gaining recognition for their unique ability to excite fans across a variety of genres including the electronic, prog, and jam scenes.
The band has been developing an enthusiastic and loyal fan base since 2013, performing with like minded bands such as Consider The Source, Moon Hooch, The Mantras, Jimkata, Higher Learning, Opposite Box, Lucidea and DJs such as Thirftworks, Phutureprimative, and Marley Carroll. Festival appearances include Hidden in the Hollow 2015, 3DL, Mindfulness Fest and Alex Grey’s 4th Annual Visionary Arts Fair.
Third Nature is a very different animal today than it was ten years ago. With the recent integration of lead vocalist, Lilly-Anne Merat, the band’s unique blend of rock, house, hip-hop, and downtempo is bringing taste and originality to the world of live electronic music. Sultry melodies are paired with evocative harmonies over a pulsating rhythm that beckons you to the dance floor.
Though a young band, Third Nature’s history runs deep. Their tradition is rooted in family, a love of life, and a collective goal to create music that speaks from the heart and to the soul. Founding members Merrick Noyes (keyboards/vocals) Will Dowling (bass/vocals) and Tom Best (drums) began performing as Third Nature in 2004, during their high school years in Connecticut. Through years of practice, sweaty collegiate basement parties and forays into the small festival circuit, they developed a more refined brand of live electronic music.
While in college, the band met Merat and they knew something magical would come from their collaboration. After college, the band set its sights on Asheville, North Carolina as its new headquarters. They made the move in 2013. Since then, Merat has become a more permanent fixture in the line-up, bringing a soulful lyricism to the band’s historically jam-oriented sound. The result is a sound that lies somewhere between a DJ set and an indie-rock show; equal parts danceable and listenable. This new sound is showcased in their latest album, “Slow It Down”. Mr. Clock is an Asheville-based multimedia electronic project created by Nathaniel Cibik. Featuring original electronic music with live instrumentals, the act is choreographed to a laser light show emanating from a hand-made mahogany clock with sequenced LEDs. First appearing last November at New Mountain, Mr. Clock is a fresh new member of Asheville’s electronic scene, out to constantly test the boundaries of his own performance and engineering capabilities.
