With one foot planted in the musical traditions of his native Texas and the other pointing toward more modern sounds, Cale Tyson has followed his own path since 2013. During that time, he’s explored everything from southern soul to classic country to indie-folk, laying the foundation for a songwriting career that nods to the past while still living within the contemporary world. The release of CARELESS SOUL marks the US full-album debut of a powerful new voice in American music – Tyson both honors and challenges his roots, earning his reputation as a “classic country all-star” (American Songwriter) while still pushing past the genre’s boundaries.
“The twenty-five-year-old from Cleburne, Texas, isn’t the first skinny kid to wear a cowboy hat and a pearl-snap shirt in tribute to the giants of vintage country, but he is one of just a few whose lovesick blues actually sound like they come from the heart.” ~ GARDEN & GUN
Cyndi Lou & the Want To is a classic country band specializing in the honky-tonk sounds of the 50s through the 70s. With pedal steel guitar and sweet country harmonies on display, the band prides themselves on a repertoire of some of country music’s greatest tunes. Songs by the likes of Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Buck Owens, Tammy Wynette, Lefty Frizzell and many more are to be expected, but the band has also performed tributes to The Beatles, David Bowie, Prince, and Steely Dan among others… with a country twist of course!
Cyndi Lou & the Want To is comprised of Cynthia Galli on lead vocals and guitar, a Philadelphia native whose love of country and bluegrass sounds called her south to The Smokies; Scott Murray on pedal steel, lead guitar and vocals, a longtime Asheville player best known for hosting a wide variety of tribute shows; and husband/wife team Mick and Stacey Glasgow on bass & drums.
