Carolyn Wonderland’s journey over the past two decades has enjoyed great heights. This year marks the release of her 5th studio album Moon Goes Missing, the follow up to her Billboard Blues Chart Top 10 album, Peace Meal (2011). The qualities that have cemented her notoriety as one of today’s top blues, rock and Americana performing artists are on full display on Moon Goes Missing. Wonderland’s originality and raw emotional power are emitted through her vocals, alongside her tasteful soul-fused guitar work. Moon Goes Missing features 8 original songs and 3 covers.
On the current state of the Music industry, and Moon Goes Missing, Carolyn comments, “It is worth celebrating new music. It is an interesting time to release albums. Moon Goes Missing is a collection of songs I was lucky enough to record. Ty Taylor from Vintage Trouble makes a guest appearance on a song we co-wrote, “Hellfire Bitters,” and Guy Forsyth guests on a reworking of Bob Dylan’s “Brand New Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat.” The additional verses on “Pillbox” were from 2004 when Bob Dylan asked me to write response verses. I did and it was fun so I figured I should get around to recording it before it fades from my fingers.”
Carolyn ain’t done yet. Come see why at a show! (seriously, she’s perpetually on tour.)
