AHE envisions a world where those who experience trauma and chronic stress can heal and thrive in their daily lives, thereby creating healthy communities to promote peace and understanding for all life. We believe in collaboration and working in community in order to help shift old patterns that are no longer serving the greatest good.
The AHE Resiliency model was born in Rwanda, developed in partnership with women who survived the Genocide of 1994, and is now being delivered in Asheville. Locally the nonprofit is teaching women and caregivers of youth new skills for managing stress, working through trauma and facing life challenges. We celebrate the innate wisdom of each individual and help people become self-reliant through their own perfection. In this process we help end the cycle of generational trauma and support a healthy new generation of children.
Social Function covers the best of the 1980’s and similar genre. Think AC/DC, Michael Jackson, Madonna, The Specials, Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits. Get your dance on before you go into a turkey coma. Additional entertainment to be announced.
