Minnesota based singer-songwriter Dennis Warner draws on his wealth of stage experience in creating a warm, welcoming and intimate concert. Dennis loves his audience, taking great care in making sure they have as much fun as he does. During his concerts, most of the music comes from his ten CD’s, with favorites like Homegrown Tomatoes, I’m My Own Grandpa, Beads on One String, Northern Lights and First Thing. The audience will know immediately that Dennis likes to laugh, including humorous stories of life on the road from traveling in all 50 states and beyond.
Warner’s ninth CD, Seeds was named one of the top CD’s of 2012 in folk music based on radio play around the world. FOLK DJ also named him one of the top artists of 2012. Legendary “Midnight Special” radio host Rich Warren tipped his hat to Dennis by designating Seeds as his “CD Pick of the Week” on his nationally syndicated show.
Now in its Sixth Printing, Warner‘s timely book “Beads on One String” evolved from one of his songs and led to the creation of “The Beads on One String Project”, an elementary school curriculum used throughout the country and beyond promoting positive behavior.
While his style is uniquely his own, Warner’s musical influences include great singer-songwriters like John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, James Taylor, Bobby Vee and Michael Johnson. Occasionally, he will also include some of their material in his show.
