Tim Grimm comes to Asheville with The Family Band– sons, Connor (bass), Jackson- (guitar/banjo/vocals) and wife, Jan- (harmonica/vocals). They’ve recently completed a 3 month tour of Europe in support of their new album- A STRANGER IN THIS TIME. Tim Grimm and The Family Band wrote and recorded the #1 song on Folk radio for 2016– The (pre) election inspired WOODY’S LANDLORD, and Grimm also had the #1 song in 2014– KING OF THE FOLKSINGERS (a tribute to his friend and musical icon, Ramblin’ Jack). Grimm lives on 80 acres in southern Indiana, and has been called “The Poet Laureate of the rural Midwest.” Film director, Ken Kwapis, calls Grimm “Indiana’s Renaissance man” and Grimm’s song THE LAKE was in the soundtrack for A WALK IN THE WOODS, starring Robert Redford. With 10 albums under his belt, he consistently reaches the top of the Euro-Americana and folk charts and has become known as one of the best storytelling songwriters in America. He tours across the states and for 2-3 months each year in Europe.
