AmiciMusic brings its award-winning chamber music and relaxing atmosphere back to Isis with this fantastic program of piano quartets by Robert Schumann and Gabriel Faure.
AmiciMusic brings the finest musicians in the region and beyond together for exciting programs filled with fantastic music and fun educational talks, all in a very informal and relaxed atmosphere. Led by founder and Artistic Director Daniel Weiser on piano, this program will also include the siblings Emmanuel (violin) and Frances (cello) Borowsky from Baltimore and violist Anna Pelczer, who is coming all the way from Germany for this program. Together, they will perform two of the best pieces of the piano quartet repertoire by Schumann and Faure. You won’t want to miss it!
Emmanuel Borowsky · 7:00pm
Emmanuel Borowsky, violin, has toured 35 countries in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Mr. Borowsky has performed as soloist with orchestras across the globe and has released eight CDs, including one with a collection of original compositions. He teaches violin and chamber music at the Intermuse International Music Institute and Festival USA and also teaches privately in Baltimore. Mr. Borowsky holds degrees from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts and Indiana University. He recently completed a Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Maryland. His teachers have included Dorothy DeLay, Roman Totenberg, and James Stern. Mr. Borowsky enjoys assisting string players in finding their dream instrument through his services as The Violin Finder.

Anna Pelczer · 7:00pm
Hungarian-American violist Anna Pelczer has become a sought-after guest orchestral leader both in Germany and abroad. Recent performances have been with the Beethoven Orchester Bonn and the English National Ballet, among others. An active teacher, Ms. Pelczer maintains a private studio and has served as a coach at the Verbier Festival Amateur Chamber Music Week in Switzerland. She is currently Professor of Viola and Chamber Music at the European Summer Music Academy in Kosovo, and has been a part of the teaching faculty at the Goppisberger Musik Wochen in Grächen, Switzerland since July 2014. Anna Pelczer attended Yale University and the Yale School of Music. A former Fellow with the New World Symphony, she has attended the Festival Pablo Casals and performed as principal viola at the Verbier, Schleswig-Holstein, Luzern, and Tanglewood Music Festivals. Ms. Pelczer lives in Karlsruhe, Germany, and performs on a viola made in 2011 by Ersen Aycan.

Frances Borowsky · 7:00pm
Cellist Frances Borowsky has performed internationally as soloist and chamber musician in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, and the Penderecki European Music Centre. She has soloed with the Tianjin Symphony Orchestra, Polish Youth Symphony, and Alexandria Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Borowsky’s major mentors have been Cecylia Barczyk, Amit Peled, Eric Kutz, and Alexander Huelshoff. She holds degrees from Towson University (BM), the Peabody Institute of John Hopkins University (MM), and Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany (MM). Ms. Borowsky is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Maryland, where she studies with Eric Kutz. Ms. Borowsky serves as Assistant Director of the Intermuse International Music Institute and Festival, and teaches cello at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania.

Daniel Weiser · 7:00pm
Daniel Weiser, piano, founder and Artistic Director of AmiciMusic, has performed chamber music in great concert halls around the world, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Dr. Weiser has a Doctorate in Piano from the Peabody Conservatory and was the 1996 American Ambassador of Music for which he toured eleven countries in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, including Egypt, Syria, Pakistan, and Thailand. He also studied for one year at Harvard Law School at the same time as President Obama. He has recorded fifteen CDs and has taught at Dartmouth College, Johns Hopkins University, UNC Asheville, Longy School of Music, and the St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH. He now lives in Baltimore, MD with his wife, Kisha, and twin fourteen-year old daughters, Emma and Sophie.�
