Join for an intimate songwriting showcase with two new Asheville favorites, Asher Leigh & Laura Boswell. Artists will share original, heartfelt music exploring the complexities of life and love.
Laura Boswell · 7:00pm
Laura exhibits a poetic and technical depth that has garnered comparisons to Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, and Norah Jones. Her songs are honest and intimate, evoking the vulnerability that comes with loving, struggling, and simply existing. Laura writes intimate folk music with classical influence; along with being a singer-songwriter, Laura has a degree in classical guitar performance and studied classical piano from a young age. She draws upon her training, technique and the influence of many classical composers when crafting her own unique, intricate style of songwriting. Laura has self-released two albums, Counting Eyes (April 2014) and Fall Away (November 2017). Hailing from the hills and valleys of Central Pennsylvania, Laura found her way down to the mountains of Western North Carolina last summer and continues to write, record, and perform.
Asher Leigh · 7:00pm
Asher Leigh is a singer/songwriter from Asheville, NC who shares contemporary, “soul-inspired folk” music.

Believing endlessly in the resilience of the human spirit, Leigh’s songs offer a sense of hope, while acknowledging the hardship and challenges we all face in our shared humanity.
Leigh has performed alongside local musicians Luna Ray and David LaMotte, performed at TEDx, and supports causes of domestic violence awareness, youth empowerment, and community activism. Her debut album, Roots Alive, was released publicly March 1st, 2019.
