Internationally acclaimed performer Reggie Harris is a deeply rooted singer/songwriter, and storyteller known worldwide for his ability to inspire audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Recognized for his passionate joyful presence in song leadership and community building, Reggie presents over 300 concerts and lectures per year at arts centers, universities, schools, music and story festivals. He is also featured in a diversity of places of worship throughout the U.S, Canada, and Europe.
A powerful interpreter of song and history, Reggie’s work as performer and teaching artist in the Kennedy Center’s CETA program (Changing Education Through the Arts) has focused millions on the role of music in the Underground Railroad and the modern Civil Rights Movement. He is a Woodrow Wilson Scholars Fellow and the Director of Music Education for the UU Living Legacy Project.
His CD release “Ready To Go” was the #5 CD on the US Folk DJ charts in 2018 with the title song as #1 for the month of May. His music embodies the spirit of icons like Pete Seeger as he blends themes of life and hope in the power of song.
