Dr. Tish Oney, international recording artist, arranger, composer and Artistic Director of several productions, currently tours as a symphony pops soloist, big band soloist, jazz vocalist, light lyric soprano, and artist-in-residence. Oney presents symphony shows and big band shows written by Grammy-winning arrangers Chris Walden and Bill Cunliffe as well as Juno-winner, Jason Goldman, and Joe Riposo. An avid arranger and composer in her own right, Oney has arranged several hundred pieces for jazz combo including hits from the Great American Songbook as well as her originals. A talented and esteemed choral conductor, she is called upon to work with professional, university and community choirs, and with vocal jazz ensembles as a guest conductor or artist-in-residence.

The Greenville Jazz Collective is a non-profit organization started in 2012 by highly-respected members of the jazz community in Greenville, SC. Through education outreach in the community and regular performance in an environment that is best suited for listening, the mission of the GJC is to create a greater awareness and appreciation for jazz music and history in the Upstate for generations to come.
The GJC Big Band performs the third Wednesday of each month at Chicora Alley in Greenville, SC working up many standards, originals, and modern works, with frequent special guests. They released an album entitled "Welcome to Earth" in 2017, featuring original compositions and choice standards. Lookout for pieces from Thad Jones, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Maria Schneider, and more!
