Jordan Scheffer Featuring Kinobe

Jordan Scheffer is an accomplished vocalist, percussionist, pianist and writer. She was born blind and developed a deep love for music at an early age, combining American Roots, West African and Afro-Caribbean-Funk rhythms and instruments into a unique vocal and musical style.  Her singular singing style has led her to work and record with some of the most renowned names in the African music scene.

At the age of 18, she won the Blind Idol talent competition in Raleigh with contestants of all ages from around the US. In 2018, Jordan was invited to sing at the famed Apollo Theater in Harlem. She then was asked back to compete at the Amateur Night at the Apollo Competition, placing 2nd.  Jordan was a featured singer at LEAF, Asheville, in the fall of 2021. and her new album, “Until We Try”, was released in October of 2021
Jordan attended the prestigious Perkins School for the Blind in Boston and is currently a student at UNC-Asheville where she performs with the UNCA Afro-Percussion Ensemble.   She is a native of Asheville, NC and speaks 4 languages.

Born near Lake Victoria in Uganda, Herbert Kinobe (Chinobay) is a gifted Ugandan multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and composer known for his inspired synthesis of African roots and global fusion. He is dedicated to bringing love and joy to people through his music and contributing to building healthier lives and communities for children and families everywhere.

General Admission Tickets are available for the main stage balcony only. Seating in the balcony is first come, first serve. Dinner service is NOT currently being offered for general admission tickets.; drink service is available at the downstairs bar on the main floor.
