Mount Airy’s The Allen Boys are sacred steel ambassadors, taking their praise-leading instruments beyond the four walls of the church and introducing it to the world for a traditional gospel party with a blues and country feel". Mixing the sounds of gospel with blues and country, The Allen Boys are North Carolina's only touring Sacred Steel band. They are pedal steel guitarist DaShawn Hickman, bassist Mitchel Fonville, guitarist Camron Moore, and drummer Ranzy Moore. Hailing from a small church in Mt. Airy, they play in a little known, yet long-standing style of religious music found only in select African American Pentecostal-Holiness churches. Taking their music outside of the church walls, The Allen Boys bring a dynamic foot-stomping, high energy show and are not to be missed.
