Twisted Pine has been praised by NPR for their “upbeat, poppy vibe; energetic, driving rhythms; and virtuosic solos.” Their skyrocketing pandemic release Right Now [Signature Sounds Recordings] ranges limitless from bluegrass to funk, jazz, pop, and soul. Twisted Pine is Kathleen Parks on five-string fiddle and lead vocals, Dan Bui on mandolin, Chris Sartori on upright bass, and Anh Phung on flute. “Twisted Pine doesn’t just break the rules, they rewrite them,” writes Glide.  “They were once bluegrass,” writes The Boston Globe, “but … this Boston band has become something else, a wider version of string band, boundary jumpers akin to outfits like Punch Brothers, Nickel Creek, and Crooked Still.” It’s a wild year of festivals for Twisted Pine — Telluride Bluegrass, Toronto Jazz, DelFest, Albino Skunk, RedWing Roots, IBMA Bluegrass Live, Arcadia Folk, Ossipee Valley, Philly Folk, Winter Wondergrass/Tahoe, and lots more. In between they’re playing a few venues they love. So glad to be returning to Isis Music Hall.

Lyle de Vitry is an Asheville based singer songwriter.  His thoughtfully crafted melodies and poetry are imaginative, visually arresting and thought provoking as he explores themes of nature, love, memory and the temporal. Lyle’s creative expression and inspiration are derived from a wide range of sonic spaces. A life of classical training, curious exploration of jazz, passion for traditional Appalachian music and a deep love of songwriters like Adrianne Lenker, Nick Drake, and Sufjan Stevens have each shaped his style into something fresh and innovative.

Come enjoy an evening of live music, food and drinks at Isis Music Hall.  Advanced Reservations are highly recommended.
